The 1998 Denver Broncos Roster was filled with great players and were a special football team. Led by John Elway, Terrell Davis, and Shannon Sharpe on offense, the 1998 Denver Broncos started the season 13-0 before losing their first game. They finished the season 14-2. They lost to the New York Giants to end their undefeated season, and then were beaten by the Miami Dolphins the following week.

The 1998 Denver Broncos dominated in the playoffs. First up were the Miami Dolphins who had beaten Denver in the regular season. Not this time, the 1998 Denver Broncos routed the Miami Dolphins 38-3, running for more than 300 yards. After trailing against the New York Jets 10-0 in the AFC Championship Game, the Broncos rallied to win that game 23-10. Finally, they won the Super Bowl against the Atlanta Falcons in a route 34-19. It was John Elway’s last game and he was named Super Bowl MVP

1990 Kansas City Chiefs Yearbook
http://youtu.be/Y-E8DMU4vv8

Free agent RB Barry Word produced a team-record 200-yard rushing outburst in a 43-24 victory vs. Detroit (10/14). Kansas City led the NFL with a franchise-record 60.0 sacks, including a team-record 20.0 by LB Derrick Thomas. Thomas established an NFL single-game record with 7.0 sacks in an inspiring Veterans Day performance vs. Seattle (11/11), a game the Seahawks miraculously won, 17-16, on a last-second, 25-yard TD pass to WR Paul Skansi by future Chiefs QB Dave Krieg. That loss brought on the furious stretch run which saw the club record victories in six of its last seven outings. Behind DeBerg’s offensive leadership (23 TD passes with just four INTs) Kansas City finished the year with a franchise-best +26 turnover differential. The Chiefs clinched their first postseason berth since ‘86 with a 24-21 win at San Diego (12/23) and finished the year at 11-5, marking the franchise’s best finish since ‘69.

In a scene that would be repeated throughout the 1990s the Chiefs had a great regular season but failed miserably in the post-season. In the Wild-card playoff game the Chiefs blew a 16–3 lead as the Dolphins scored 2 touchdowns to take a lead. The Chiefs had one last-chance for a win but Christian Okoye's long run was called back due to a questionable holding call. Nick Lowery who would score 139 points all season and a Pro Bowl berth missed a 52-yard field goal and with it the end of a great Chiefs season.

1990 RAIDERS

1990_Los_Angeles_Raiders by raidernaphtali

Led by Coach of the Year Art Shell, the club appeared in its first AFC Championship Game since the 1983 season.

With Marcus Allen becoming a vital part of the offense again with 13 Touchdowns as the Raiders win 6 of their first seven games. The Raiders would go on to capture the AFC West with a 12-4 record as Allen and Bo Jackson provide a potent 1-2 punch in the backfield. In the Divisional Playoffs the Raiders would beat the Cincinnati Bengals 21-10 at the Coliseum. However, Running Back Bo Jackson would suffer a career ending hip injury late in the 3rd Quarter when David Fulcher literal rips the hip out its socket in a tackle from behind on the sidelines. Playing without Bo in bone chilling weather the Raiders season is ended with a 51-3 rout at the hands of the Bills in the AFC Championship game in Buffalo.

"FLASHBACK"
Chargers beat Dolphins Jan 8, 1995
http://youtu.be/nxIAwl7VsDg

The 1994 season began with the team trying to improve on their 8–8 record in 1993. They finished the season with an 11-5 record and were crowned AFC West Champions. Their success peaked with a 17-13 victory over the Pittsburgh Steelers in the AFC Championship game. They would advance to Super Bowl XXIX, only to lose to the San Francisco 49ers 49-26, which was played at Joe Robbie Stadium, now known as Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida. It is the only time the team has ever made the Super Bowl and at the same time, they were also regarded as a "Cinderella" team that season. The team wore throwback uniforms for three games during the season.

Re: Playmakers Madden 13 & 25 1990's Classic Team Rosters/Playbooks

Finally updated the 1st page with a ton of information for these rosters.

I'm in the process of adding about 10-20 free agents at every position with players only from the 90's.

So far I've completed the QB free-agent list that goes 25 deep with very some interesting players mostly young QB's who didn't pan out in the 90's and a few vets who were late bloomers in their careers.

QB'S
Jim Everett-86 (Age 27 based on Los Angeles Rams 1990 season)
Chris Chandler-85 (Based on 1998 season with Atlanta Falcons)
Jeff George-83 (Age 33 based on Minnesota Vikings 1999 season)
Doug Flutie-83 (Age 36 based on Buffalo Bills 1998 Season)
Rich Gannon-83 (Young version not yet with Raiders)
Jeff Garcia-83 (Based on 1999 season with S.F. 49ers)
Jeff Blake-79
Tim Couch-78
Elvis Grbac-75
Craig Erickson-73
Wade Wilson-73 (Age 36 Based on Dallas Cowboys 95 season)
Rick Mirer-72
Rob Johnson-70
Gus Frerotte-70
Cade McNown-70 (Lefty)
Ryan Leaf-70
Todd Marinovich-70
Danny Wuerffel-70
Akili Smith-69
Heath Shuler-69
David Klinger-68
Dan McGwire-67
Doug Pederson-62
Jim Drunkenmiller-50
T.J. Rubley-43
Wally Richardson-40

Dave Krieg will be added later

Next up will be RB's looking to create Herschel Walker, Lawrence Phillips, Garrison Hearst, Curtis Ennis, KiJana Carter, Blair Thomas, Chris Warren, Stephen Davis, Terry Allen, Corey Dillon, Rashan Salaam, Dorsey Levens, Ricky Williams, Eric Rhett, Bam Morris and Leeland McElroy to name a few.

What about Damon Huard? Wade Wilson?

What about Roger Craig and Deuce Staley?

At least you gotta make Roger Craig!

Re: Playmakers Madden 13 & 25 1990's Classic Team Rosters/Playbooks

Awesome thread Playmakers,

I am about to finally finish my 1990 season replay in a 32 team CFM. Dolphins are in the post season and we are looking to change history. We were able to win the AFC East in a super tight race between us, The Jets and of course those damn Buffalo Bills!

I am going to fire up a 1993 CFM 32 team replay next week.

I have a question though. I obviously have all of Rysumms classic rosters and his 1986 roster is chock full of free agents from that era. The 93 also. I want to know though how to make sure when i start a CFM those free-agents fill the FA pool and not current day players.

I do 32 team control and everything set to manual so no team will sign those current day players. But I want those classic players in the pool.

Am I missing something?

Those are all legit players thanks for the reminder.

I also forgot to mention return guys like Dante Hall and Via Sikahema....

To my surprise Sikahema only ran a 4.8 40 time....
http://articles.philly.com/1993-10-1...-shoes-johnson

But he was still a dangerous return man

As far as I know 32 team control should allow you to manage the rosters for every team and keep the modern day players off the field.

One thing I've thought about doing is making all the remaining modern day lower rated way down into the teens to trick the CPU from adding them back into the rosters.

I really haven't even played a CCFM since I got this game I've been working on this specific roster file for a year now basically researching just about as much information I could find for every player who participated in a NFL scouting combine during the 90's that is why some players will appear to have lower speed than what EA typically would rate them but I was able to find a great deal information that justifies their speed rating for example Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin, Jerry Rice, Herman Moore, Webster Slaughter and David Palmer to name a few.
