The player skill is set to All-Madden. The CPU skill set is custom. I've found that having the player skill set to All-Madden (not custom), the AI makes better decisions and has better play calling.

This doesnt make sense to me that your reducing the cpu sliders for both offense and defense and becuz your leaving the user at default all madden the cpu makes better playcalls?

I've tried the other sliders on these forums and I still get the AI making odd playcalls (cpu calls nickel 3-3-5 when I call I-form on 1st and 10 and I've been running the ball all day). Even though I've adjusted the CPU sliders down on both sides of the ball, playing on All-Madden seems to correct the playcalling mistakes of the CPU. Something about having the difficulty set to All-Madden I guess. Try them and see!
