Thoughts on game speed sliders

What does everyone think of gamespeed in terms of affecting gameplay, stats etc. What I mean is,
1. if I'm a great, great player who finds every slider set here too easy, but I've been playing on 'slow'.....would moving the speed up make it more challenging?
2. Does speeding up the game make it "harder" or just "faster" with the difficulty being the same.
3. I play on slow because it feels comfortable, but is another speed more like real life? When I played on old gen and switched to next gen (last spring) the game appeared 'slow'. Almost like slow motion to me.
4. Does game speed affect the sliders? I mean besides appearing faster, would, say the pass rush slider be affected in that guys are breaking blocks and getting to the QB faster? Therefore you'd lower the pass rush if you were playing on "fast"?

I read somewhere that game speed does NOT effect the sliders. playing on a faster speed can be more challenging because you have to think faster. Me, i like normal speed. faster looks too cartoonish, slow looks tooooo slow, like it's a slo-mo replay. for me, normal speed looks and feels right.

yes, it should become more difficult because you have to make decisions faster, but the sliders should remain unaffected. Everything should stay in proportion.
