Thumbs up Re: Madden 25 Slider skill level

Idk bout you guys but AM default seems pretty spot on. I can get pressure on the Qb but it takes some more blitz packages, not just playing coverage sacks the whole game.
I also like how the WRs, TEs, etc break off routes and get open if they are covered.

I seeing a good mix of wins and losses playing the demo on AM.

Re: Madden 25 Slider skill level

Has anyone discovered the weights of each slider to determine if a slider set would be All-Pro or All-Madden difficulty?

Re: Madden 25 Slider skill level

Interesting tweets from one guy (@NYGiants4Natic) who says there is a trick with the sliders and difficulty to make the cpu tougher.

1) Set user and cpu sliders and save.
2) Go back and change difficulty from Custom to All-Madden.
3) Re-load slider set.
4) Go to Profile and Save.

It's supposed to make the cpu stronger via @NYGiants4Natic.

Oh Tiburon...

I can't believe we're still talking about hacks and formulas to figure out basic difficulty settings. There has to be some kind of method to their madness this year (at least I hope so).

Re: Madden 25 Slider skill level

Why are we trying to keep sliders at a certain skill level? Wouldn't you just want to create a slider set that gives you a challenging game? Once you deviate from the box skills, doesn't it just turn it into a custom level anyways?

Nope, even though it says custom, you can be at different skill levels depending on how many points you allocated and to what categories. It makes it very difficult to get the right sliders because if you go too high or too low, you change the skill level without knowing it.

Often times with the level comes various AI "buffs" or "nerfs". With the level tied to the points, it changes how the AI plays even beyond the sliders.

A lot of times, keeping the AI at a certain level is the key to getting those challenging games, at least for me. The AI level also is said to impact how your CPU controlled players respond (since it's thought that they use the same AI algorithms as the CPU team), which can impact things as well.

Why isn't it just like this by default? Why even change the base difficulty to "Custom". Why not just leave it as "All-Madden" if changing that makes that big a deal (even in M13, it does THAT).

Re: Madden 25 Slider skill level

I wish sports games would just do away with the skill levels all together. I wish this was the case anyway. I know this is in the Madden forum, but for example, it's frustrating playing 2K and setting all the sliders. On one difficulty, the computer can't make a shot or play defense. You bump it up one level, all the same sliders, and then the computer can't do anything wrong.

Just make the game at a default level and give us all the sliders to adjust the game exactly, easy or hard, like we like. Include a couple of built in slider sets like "Arcade" and "Sim" but let us tweak it to the level we want to play at.

Bringing it back to Madden, just set it at whatever level when shipping the game but give us a slider for each player attribute. So, if we think swim moves should get a bump, or RB jukes should get reduced, we can do that. If someone wants it super easy, they can reduce all the AI sliders way down. Instead, they're taking away sliders and we don't know what weird effects each of those sliders has on the gameplay. The difficulty level just arbitrarily does things to make the AI easier or harder.

The games are implementing file sharing now anyway. Follow in the footsteps of Minecraft or a Disney Infinity. Just give us all the tools. Let us customize the whole experience like we like and share it amongst the community so we all can have a game we enjoy playing how we want to play it.
