Re: Using Sliders does skill level matter?

Well, like I just said, it depends from person to person. I don't need to test your sliders, because I'm perfectly happy with the ones I'm using and getting great results. Everybody plays differently. My games are never shoot-outs. Everybody plays differently, and that's ok. Use what you want.

If you're just using default all-madden, then yes, obviously that's going to be horrible. Default anything in this game is super easy to put up 60 points with.

Re: Using Sliders does skill level matter?

Im now going to agree with Sturz and RG3. Since reading their threads i decided to come down off my hardheaded stubborness to stick with All-Madden, and give All-Pro a shot. I used my favorite set of sliders, but i loaded them in with All-Pro skill level. Ive played 6 games. Definitely seen tighter games with better, more realistic D, and i was able to enjoy these games without winning, because i wasnt shredded by the All-Madden level. Miami (me) 23 Jacksonville 10. New England 30 Arizona (me) 17. Chicago (me) 16 Pittsburgh 14.
Detroit 24 San Diego (me) 23. San Francisco 33 Indianapolis (me) 20. And
Dallas 13 Minnesota (me) 9. So i defintely experienced good qualiy challenging games wihout having to experience that "WTF are you kidding me" feeling.

Re: Using Sliders does skill level matter?

You're right. I hadn't tried your new set. So, I figured I'd give it a go, just so I'm not talking out my butt.

Followed them exactly, here's the stats:

WIN 50-0

Me: 268 rushing, 224 passing
CPU: 71 rushing, 88 passing

So like I said, they don't work for me. Obviously they work for other people, which is great. I love seeing people find a way to enjoy this game.

And, on my CFM news feed it says "Seahawks win a close one" lol...Madden logic.

Nice! We all are shooting for the same gameplay imo, no reason for any of us to be stubborn lol. I'm glad you tested them out and by the looks of it the scores are much better/lower.
If others would stop being STUCK on this All-Madden kick, they may find the fun in Madden again lol.

I have my own personal set that I use, but no matter. Glad you were able to give it another go.

I don't want to beat a dead horse here, but I see you are using the Hawks. Are you running the read option plays?

Just curious.

Nope. Read option breaks this game.

Re: Using Sliders does skill level matter?

Decided to plug in my favorite slider set that gives me the most realistic games on All-Madden and use them on All-Pro. These were the results I got.

Didn't throw a single pass the entire game. Deangelo Williams broke the record for most rushing yards in a game and Kenjon Barner had over 150 yards running as well.

And your point is?

Look man, anyone can do this on any level and slider combos you choose if your aim is to exploit the CPU run defense. Read options, isos, strong side stretches, and manually motioning players to create formation imbalances are all there for the taking if you want to play without scruples.

You gotta reign yourself in (or use game flow, if you are incapable of policing yourself) if you want to have any hope of a realistic game.

Hopefully EA will patch the overpowered running game soon.
