Madden 2005 - Official Slider Sticky

OK - you know the drill. An OS tradition.

Very nice, spin. I'll give those sliders a try later tonight.

Spin 16, what does that mean exactly, are you implying that the computer does not adjust to your playcalling, meaning that if you find success with a given pass, can you rely on that same pass to bail you out. This and that other comment you made earlier about your superbowl exploit with Brett Favre going 11/12 has me worried a bit.

I have yet to find a play that will work 100% of the time. But there are plays that will give you a 12-15 yard gain 90% of the time, with the other 10% an incompletion or interception.

By and large the CPU is awful at defending slant routes. It's something that will need fixing for 2006.

An incredibly hard route for defenders to cover in the NFL

Well, then we need more big hits from LB's that cause dislodges and fumbles.

The point is, the risk/reward balance for slants is tilted strongly toward the offense in Madden 2005, so something needs to be done to fix that.

Re: Madden 2005 - Official Slider Sticky

"the other game" fixed the slant problem by making the LB's more able to tip passes to a receiver just barely out of their reach...some players on XBox Live do this REALLY well...nothing like trying to hit a seemingly open Roy Williams over the middle and Urlacher swats it away....
