I actually tried madden.. It does some things well.. But overall I cant play it after playing espn for 3 years..

Two Different speed burts one for D one for O.. Even Thought I hate how some backs are over powered in ESPN.. IN madden You have dont have the same sence of Urgency..I have to stop Lewis .. or Holmes..Madden running game lacks that for me..the passing I really dont like.. You can lead passes but not to the extent of maximum passing...

There are some things I do like ,the hit stick and how the D reacts to passes.. Graphics arent that bad actually but they are not on par with ESPN..

Its just not a good game to me..

Madden was a great game.. it was the first 3d game.. I remember thinking wow.. I can throw it downfield and i can see my WR's (genesis days)..it was really innovative.. Now its just rehashed over and over..now that they are the only choice maybe they can change some things since its not so risky (being the only game you can do that)

Man you must have fell and hit yo head Madden is the greatest football game ever anywhere anytime! As justinM said blame the NFL EA did what they had to do. Plus the part of the game that involves John Madden sucks anyway!

lol man you must of be knocked up by the EA fanboy sledgehammer. Greatest football game ever anytime. LMFAO? Which version? The ones where all they did was update a roster or add back in a feature they had removed previously and called it new. Madden has a had a year or two where it's been better than the competition sure but there's plenty of football games by competitors that have been better for their time than Madden. Gameday was the better game on PS1 and madden had to play catch-up. Some could argue that ESPN was better than Madden 05.

As for all time the young bucs can talk madden (which to me for the most part = complacency for money) but i'll take Tecmo Bowl and Tecmo Super Bowl are the greatest football games of all time and toss in Sierra's Front Page Sports Football Pro. You want innovation? Those are your top dogs. Lots of Madden came from those two games. The two most innovative football games ever.

Guess she was quite forgettable to me - other than her kneeling and crying "WWWWHHHHYYYYY!!????" at getting hit. Not unlike my reaction to the EA NFL exclusivity news lol

I look at it this way: I'm paying $50 a year for new rosters and something new to do with my right thumbstick. They can do better than that. The developers have been using the same engine since at least Madden 2001. Five years with no drastic upgrades.

Truthfully, I'd rather have a completely new game every two years with incremental and diligent roster updates in the "off" year, even if I had to pay a nominal fee for them.

But I may as well wait for pigs to fly. This series is way too big of a cash cow for them to skip every other year.
