OK, I made the switch to xbox about a year ago, beacuse of the better graphics and smoothness. However, madden05 and NCAA05 blow chunks on xbox this year. (NCAA has the slowdown issue and Madden plays so fast it's like everybody is on crack...didn't like it at all...took them both back) So, I've been playing 2K5 on xbox for the last few months and loving it, but still wondering about Madden. So, I'm in best buy the other day and I see this dude playing Madden and it looks really good and plays very smooth...I'm like WTF?? Then i notice he playing on PS2!! So I decide to give it a try and sure enuff, the game rocks on PS2! I cannot believe the difference...I guess this is because the xbox is a "ported" version...Same thing with ESPN2K5...the PS2 version blows...becuase they developed on xbox and ported it over. Anyway, I'm excited as hell!! I have a new game to play.....anybody out there not impressed with xbox version....go get the PS2 version....NOW!!!!

Thats only because EA is gay. The slowdown is not xbox's fault, its EA. But that doesnt make xbox worse than it. Next year if its the same game and no slowdown, everyone will want it on xbox, the graphics are so much nicer and everyone knows if ps2 fanboys know that the graphics are better for xbox.

and ps2 controllers are to small.

Actually, if I must say....I think the graphics are better on PS2. The turf and grass look far more more real on PS2 than they do on xbox. Personally, I don't care which one is better...I'll buy the best, at the moment, I think ps2 is better. With a new generation coming soon, I'll see what looks better then.

I agree, it's weird but the graphics just look better to me on PS2, especially the fields and the lighting. Believe me, I am no PS2 fan-boy, I had basically left the PS2 for dead! Not played it in almost a year, but the PS2 version really caught my eye when i saw being played in BestBuy....and I really really like it...even better than the PC version. Yes, I shelled out approximately $130.00 to EA for the same game this year (xbox, PC, & PS2)....this is sad...but I'm a football video game junkie....And last but not least....I think 2K5 is the BEST football video game I've ever played!! Really pissed about EA buying the rights...but what can you do?? The only thing that really kept Madden on my radar is the franchise mode....which is the only weakness of 2K5 in my opinion. Game on....

From owning both system back and forth like a seesaw, I'm just telling you I always used to be a graphics whore and that's why I used lean tworads the Xbox, well now I just got rid of my Xbox a few weeks ago and I'm loving my PS2 slim, I have no regrets. I just want to tell you that there is not a huge difference at all between Madden-Xbox/Madden-PS2 or Ncaa-Xbox/Ncaa-Ps2, infact the colors on the PS2 versions of the game look better then the Xbox.

I've been saying this for 2 years now.

If you purchase an EA Sports game, go with it on PS2. Otherwise, go with Sega for Xbox.

It's just that cut and dry, IMO.

Well for FB(NFL) that's no longer a decision we can make. I'll stick with the XBOX version as I have lots of games and decided to go with only one system, Just kept spending to much $.
Hopefully EA will put some effort into thier future XBOX versions, but I doubt it.

Pared is right, EA makes games for PS2 then ports them to xbox decreasing quality on Xbox, ESPN makes them for XBOX ports them to PS2 making PS2 versions worse.

Pared, change your avatar, I want one of the old ones back! Babes much better than moving head imo.
