I am in my 3rd year of my Lions franchise and wanted to create a player and add him to my franchise, can this be done, if so how?

Just go into rosters and you will see create a player. The only difference in doing it after you started is that you cant put him on a team, but just go into the FA for his position an sign him to your team.
