XBOX: Modified roster, now I can't start a new franchise.

OK, so I've been tweaking my Madden 2005 roster (XBOX) to account for all the recent offseason trades and free agent signings. This took many hours.

Unfortunately I cannot start a new franchise anymore. When I click to start a new franchise it just says "Please Wait ..." and hangs. I thought it was because I dropped too many players from the teams so I went back and made sure every team had 54, 55, or 53 players (according to what # of players they had in the last roster update.) I even reorderd all the rosters thinking the depth charts were not right.

I'm stumped. Anyone know if I can fix this or what caused it?

# of created players? I think that did it last year, I'm not sure

how about just start a franchise controlling all the teams and just do the trades and fa signings that way.
