I agree wholeheartedly. This time last year we had lots of gameplay vids PRE-E3 - for both NFL2k5 and Madden. Now with EA being the only game in town we get scraps of information here and there, brief glimpses of what could be either Madden05 or 06, who knows. Making me think all the more that the game's gonna look exactly like last year's game. I don't think even Madden fans are happy with this [crap]. Sad to think we have at LEAST 4 more years of bland E3's staring us in the face.

Ever thought maybe alot of people may be able to be happy with things revealed OTHER than graphics and how the game looks? I agree Madden and NCAA don't look like major upgrades over last year but how good a game is going to be (or not) encompasse a lot more than just visual aesthetics. At least for me anyways.

With all of the new gameplay and dynasty/franchise improvements in both NCAA and Madden announced so far I believe so far a LOT of people are quite happy, myself included. Graphics aren't everything to alot of people and the PS2/Xbox graphics aren't going to change a whole lot in the last year of this generation of consoles anyways so anyone who was expecting a huge upgrade there had unrealistic expectations to begin with.

Anyway, I think it's going to be a mixed E3. A few screenshots floating in but nothing too revealing. We'll be left wanting more.

Please. There were 10-page threads EVERY DAY the week before the draft on individual pictures that EA released of next-gen Madden - PICTURES, not movies. Madden fans want something to crow about. All you're spouting is the typical low expectation havin' double speak many of the hardcore Madden fans love to throw out as an excuse for EA. I stand by what I said - last year, we had tons of gameplay movies by this time. Now with only one game in town, we're being fed these bits and scraps of info that people are supposed to fall in love with. Gimme a break. I'm not faulting you for being happy with what you've gotten from these past couple months. My guess is that we don't see much being released because it leaves less to be questioned or analyzed. Now they can get away with it because of the situation. Guess I just need to get used to things being done this way lol...

I am going to have to agree with spankdat on this one. The tons of footage, videos, screenshots and info we got LAST year was a function of competition. Sure, more info leaves much to be scrutinized and picked apart but in the realm of competition it would be to the company's detriment if they were mum on details while the competitor spews screenshot after screenshot, video after video thus creating the much needed "buzz" for their game...

In the absence of competition giving up information is not necessary. There is no chance of "buzz" being created about your opponent...today..with one show in town..there sales will be impacted by no one.

Over time..Madden fans and gamers in general will begin to understand the age old reasons as to why competition is a GOOD thing.

It's sad that you don't even realize your own poll. I voted it will be a sad E3 football wise b/c of the lack of enough information from EA, not because of the lack of a title from T2. Don't word your poll one way, then try and twist it to mean something else.

As for your side note, if Sony can match the visuals they claim they can, the only (other?) sad thing will be your comment.

Dude..thats a HUGE if...Did you see the Killzone footage?? I doubt Sony can match that during actual gameplay....
