Sorry I misunderstood his misery.
Well, I read that he can still start over the young QB or request a trade.

I think I would have just played it, thinking that team wanted to get 2 young prospects when they can and have them duke it out for the starting job. Then in true T.O. style, I would have assumed I lost the job and request a trade like right off the bat.

Could be fun.

Yeah, didn't this happen when the Cowboys drafted Troy Aikman and Steve Walsh in 1989?

Sure they got drafted but they never panned out. So, it is conceivable that you might not get drafted. My question to you (since I don't have the game yet) is if you don't get drafted can you get a tryout or allowed to be signed as a free agent?
Well Charlie Ward didnt get drafted because he was shooting off at the mouth about wanting to possibly pursue an NBA career..his mouth prematurely tipped off other teams so they werent going to waste a draft pick on someone who might decide he doesnt even want to play.

Im not sure what the story on White was though..anyone know? Im curious now.

Pretty much, Walsh was a supplemental pick. Here's a nice story about it, http://www.awesome80s.com/Awesome80s...1989/Draft.asp

White's had numerous knee surgeries and was ratted out by Talent Scouts as merely a product of the system.
