Defensive Tips Please for a Madden Newbie :)

Okay, I admit I am a 2K fan to begin with. Though I ended up having both games in the last 4 years. I pick Madden because of it's Franchise mode which is like managing a team which I really love the most. I have no problem playing offense in Madden, but I have issues when it comes to playing defense. But I love playing defense in 2K games in the last 2 years.

I usually control the DTwhen it comes to defend, but I am having a hard time trying to loss the opponents Offensive Lineman guarding me. Right now I am playing using the DE since I am having a hard time getting sacks using DT. I just made 2 sacks using DE against North Carolina.

My question is, what is the best position in defense to get sacks easily? And also, tips of how to loss the offenive lineman of your opponent guarding you.

Oh and before I forget, what button I should push (PS2) if I wanted to declare a fair catch? I am using the default controls.

I've found the best position is the DE, or a blitzing OLB/MLB. Depends on the rating though. As in how to lose the OL guarding you, the triggers on Xbox (maybe L1 R1?) are the "swim" moves to get around linemen, but they don't really work that well for me.

On the Fair Catch, it's Y on the Xbox so PROBABLY Triangle....I've owned Madden on PS2 and I'm pretty sure triangle is fair catch.
