A quick help for Defensive players...

I noticed we have a bunch of online Cone Vision geniuses all of a sudden. So here's a bit of cheese for you defensive-minded players out there like myself.

Manually shading receivers is EXTREME cheese. But you have to do it really fast. Not only will you shut down the routes that you are shading towards, you will bump-n-run or hassle the WR all over the field WITHOUT pass interference called. Maybe 1 out of every 15 plays will result in P.I. but by then you'll already have 2 ints, a few sacks, and possibly points off turnovers.

Now all you Precision geniuses can take that and shove it.

I think you need a timeout.

When does school start for you? The end of summer can't get here fast enough.

School ended for me back in 90'... kid

Now while you marinate on that for awhile, I'll post my reasoning behind this thread. Me and a guy played a Best of Three series last night, Buffalo vs Detroit. All-Madden Hardcore ranked. Great games, very competitive. Punting, the whole nine.

Defensively, great games.

First game, total of 11 picks, I (Buffalo) lost 28-17

Second game, total of 13 picks, I won like 38 - 21 returning 3 for TD's

Third game, total of 11 picks, I threw 7 of them, he won big returning 3 TD's

I am getting a ton of picks WITHOUT shading DB's. He was shading my DB's and shutting down my WR's unmercifully. That's why I made this thread. If I start shading DB's, I'd probably get more ints and sacks than I already do. So this post was to help the defensive minded players, and not the offensive Cone Vision geniuses who have all the answers for it.

Another thing, running is not so easy either. Every year I average over 150 yds per gm rushing because I love to control the clock. Not this year. It's just not there like before. Defenders break blocks way too fast. So this can also be a strong reason for the amount of ints per games, because people cannot get a potent running attack going. While I'm 2-7 online, both wins I ran for over 125 yards. Makes a hell of difference.

??? That seemed a bit uncalled for.

I may be a big kid at heart, as most men are, however, I surely don't behave like my shoe size.

Re: A quick help for Defensive players...

I see where the guy is coming from here. I had the same problem against this one guy I played against 2 times last night. I used the Rams, he used the Chargers. First game, he beat me 28-24. The problem was, he kept using corner-routes, over and over. Second game, I just took control of Archuleta or Stone to whichever side he was gonna throw it too. I usually used Stone since he kept sending Gates on a corner route out to the right. That game I beat him 35-31. Still there was a problem, after I kept doing that he ended my figuring out my defense and passing it to LT every time, even when I was using man to man. It was pretty frustrating though.
