This may be the first year I like Madden better than NCAA. I say may because I haven't played the game long enough to really see but so far I'm loving it. It's most certainly the best Madden to date.

The guy above who said this was the year the reviewers showed their true colours is correct, no one in their right mind would say 05 was better than 06. As for the huge wailing of people who are posting saying they dislike the game or it's the same game as last year, it's actually a good sign in my opinion, a more simulation-type game utilizing features such as the passing cone is always going to turn-off the people who like to cheesy play.

Bottom line is I think alot of the reviewers and also alot of the people in this very forum are people who are probably dissapointed their 50 yard lobs while running around like a goofball won't work anymore, or at least not work near as often. It's pretty ironic to me too that alot of those same people are the ones who decry EA for not innovating and addressing sim-like features.

So far I gotta say, great year for EA football...hell great year for EA Sports if you include MVP. WIth all the **** they take on here from people, they seem to be putting out some quality product.

And NHL 06 has already gotten good reviews so this might be one of the best years for EA in a while.

I agree. I've been impressed with both football games and MVP was a blast. Great year for EA

I actually enjoyed 05 once I got things adjusted. But 06 is definetly much better. I'm seeing so many little things in the running game and the CPU's disguised defensive coverages. At first I was throwing picks but now that I've settled down this Madden is a BEAST!

I think both football games though very different are both excellent this year. It's hard to fight temptation as to which one to play each day first.
