Defensive Assignements (xbox)

I'm trying to figure out some of the defensive assignmens,

If you select a defender and push up on the right analog you get a yellow zone coverage bubble. Pull down is blitz, push left I believe is spy and right is flats zone (blue bubble to the right or left).

Isn't there a way to make your defender play QB contain? What about that purple (hook zone)? Also a delayed blitz, is that in there or am I thinking NFL2K?

Ok, also you can select a defender and then press Y and then a receiver button and push right to double team that guy,

Dpad: Pressing Y then left moves your defenders in position to line up with the receivers, and Y then right moves them close to the line to stop the run better (or disguise this action if they are playing pass coverage) Y then down is bump and run all, and Y then Up is for all of them to back up for deep coverage.

Right analog: Y then left/right the safties to play that side of the field moreso.

How do you bump and run only one receiver - not all of them? How about backing away from only one, not all of them?

Shade the receiver inside or outside:
- Press Y Button
- Press the button that represents the receiver you wish to shade in or out
- Pull Left trigger to shade left shoulder or right trigger to shade the right shoulder (really helps with quick slants or fades)

You can assign your safeties to play wide toward the sidelines or tight toward the middle of the field.
- Press Y to brng up your coverage audible
- Then up on the Right analog stick to play wide toward the sidelines (to help defend corner routes) or down on the right analog stick to play tight toward the middle of the field (helping with the posts).

DE Flat / Hook Zone Playmaker Controls:
- Flat: Highlight the DE and Press Right on the right analog stick
- Hook Zone: Press right a second time on the right analog stick and he will now be in hook zone coverage

Outside Linebacker QB Contain Controls:
- Press Black Button (XBOX LB Audible Button)
- Press Right Analog stick left or right twice depending on which OLB you wish to put into QB Contain
- To put both OLB's into QB Contain, press the Black button and then right analog stick right twice, then left twice. Now both OLB's will be in QB Contain.

Anyways is a hook zone amedium zone to stop tight ends, hooks, curls/etc?

Actually, I think you'd be better to audlible your linebackers into hooks zones then to put your DE's into hook zones.

To do this:
- press the LB audible button (black button on your xbox controller)
- press up on the right analog stick. Now your LB's will be in hook zones to help with slants, TE Hook routes or other routes to the short / middle of the field.
