Drop back pretty far, bullet a pass to your tallest player/best leaper and manually catching it with the wr facing the los. He would jump unusually high and catch balls over everybody. really hard to stop. big problem with madden '04. don't know if it was in madden '05; I didn't play it. doesn't seem like its a problem in '06, although people will say that throwing the high pass on hooks do the same thing, but its a lot easier to stop this time around.

One thing I have noticed with past Maddens and the Madden 360 (that I played @ the store) is that is seems very hard to stop the long ball. When the QB launches the ball, the camera takes the awkward, low to the ground angle, and I just always feel like I'm gonna get beat by the WR. I guess it's hard for me to explain here, but it just seems knocking down or intercepting the long ball is unusually difficult.
