I thought I read in the one of the recaps of that Madden party with the NFL players that the current gen version of Madden will be released on August 15 and X360 will be on the 22nd. Or was I just dreaming? I'm guessing the current gen version is done and they could probably release it tomorrow if they wanted, but they don't want people to skip buying the more expensive 360 version (with less features), so they'll release them on the same date.

August 22nd is way too late. The exhibition season is almost half over by that point. Guess I'll have to get out my 06 when I get the football bug in early August.
