Finally got to them myself. Guess it's me - they look okay, but guess the game's flaws are so glaring to me. Gamespot did good by editing the vids so there isn't so much dead time in between plays; it helps. But defensive players running around all hunchbacked and not "looking" or trying to find the ball, along with that goofy lateral movement is irritating. Parts of the game will be impressive to watch in high-def though. And like last year, they seem to nail the individual touchdown celebrations

The more I see the less excited I get. I think I'm just going to pass and pick up both hockey games.

i'll stick with 2k5. madden just needs a new engine.no matter how much make-up you put on an ugly chick she's still the same old ugly chick underneath.

It plays exactly like NCAA football 07, same animations to!

There's no denying that 2k5's db play was bad at the best of times and can get downright ugly at it's worst.

But what are you referring to when you say broken franchise play? Lock-ups?

The game looks ok. You can definately see how NCAA is Madden's son. The games are exact in the animation dept. I'm trying to see the good in all of what is Madden by watching these videos. However, I still can not get past the horrid collision detection in both Madden and NCAA. People say it isn't a game killer. When your WR is running in place against a defender for 3-4 seconds, your RB gets tackled by the invisible man and his blocker actually blocks him instead of the defense it sure is to me.

Built from the ground up?! So, these problems must purposefully be put in the game, because if you have a chance to rebuild something, you definately would address such issues.
