Anyone else notice how the sideline people/players stand there like brainless zombies basically all in the lifeless, static stance as a enormous exciting play is happening right in front of them.

Same thing is goin on in B-Ball so wat your saying is that we shouldn't give EA/2k credit for having specific player animations when playing the game?
CO-SIGN... players specific movements (running style, passing motion, pass rush techniques, etc.) is gonna help take this game to another level in terms of atmosphere and immersion. I love the little things too. This is what helps seperate a very good game from a great game. I was very excited to read that article where the guy from EA mentioned that they now have the ability to take mo-caps from video to recreate player styles and movements. No it doesn't compensate for bad DB AI or suction blocking or no gang tackling, but to me it's still a positive. The NBA games are a great example... it's so much better that they are implementing player specific styles, rather than everyone having the same jump shot, dunks, etc.

Interesting vid...thankfully they followed NCAA's example and reprogrammed the running animations, they look MUCH better.

BUT, could someone PLEASE tell EA to stop making receivers JUMP FOR A BALL THEY CAN CATCH IN STRIDE.

K, thanks

The specific running styles and animation would actually mean alot more if a real physics based gang tackle system was implemented then the runningbacks stance and style would mean something when you went in for a tackle. But with with the prescripted motion capture tackles it doesn't matter your going just get a random tackle animation, and nothing based on impact angles, the way the player carries the ball etc...So right now it's basically just a very nice visual touch.

Oh and btw way on bulls vrs blazers for the snes they had player specific moves and that was like 15 years ago or more.
