Do you guys think Madden takes a player's weight into account in terms of collisions?

I always thought it would be a huge step up if Madden would make a player's weight as important as it is in real life. There's a reason why OLB's being converted to DE's have to pack on 20-30 lbs, so that they can hold their ground and not get pushed as easily by an O-lineman. Have any of you seen this kind of dynamic working in the game?

It would also factor in that "pass rushing specialist" feature that Madden is implementing. Coaches like to take out speed-rushing guys who are lower in weight (240-260 range, with exceptions of course, like anything in life) and get easily pushed out of the way by 320 lb lineman during run blocking. Therefore, depth would be made as impportant as it truly is. You'll need to have a big guy with the bulk to hold up against the run. In madden, this is currently almost never a concern. I just plug in the guy with the best overall or raw skill (spd, str, acc) for every down, because weight never factors in and he's not any easier to move than a 280 lb guy.

Also, since Iive typed this much already, I'd like to see more injuries. In real life injuries happen constantly. It's the nature of the game. This would add importance to depth if there could be a few minor injuries every week and a serious injury about every 1-3 weeks. Players have injury ratings, but that doesn't even seem to matter because these guys never get injured anyway.

No not much at all, there are no real physics in madden. Collisions in madden are all based on ratings and what random motion capture the game decides to use, if you woulda seen a couple years ago when there was a 1 inch tall offensive lineman bug and that guy blocked like a normal size player.

Exactly....

I hope for future Madden games EA takes this into account.

If they add this feature it would be great, but probably slow down the system cause it needs a lot of calculations done since there are a ton of players on the screen at the same time.

Right now most of the cpu work goes to the graphics part.
