I've tested the vision cone for Madden 07 on the 360.

I've noticed the secondary does not cheat towards the receiver you are locked on to with the cone. So looking off a receiver seems pointless.

Also precision passing works the same when not using the cone.

At least EA gave this feature a shot. The cone was short lived. I wonder if it will be in Madden 08? Let's hope they refine the cone in the future!

Your thoughts on the cone in Madden 07 for the 360 version? Will you still be using it?

Dude, they gave up on that thing a long time ago. I don't think anyone used it for more than a couple games when they got Madden 06.

Yes, it's still there, just off by default. I really doubt that it's been programmed for this year.

Well, I guess you used it quite a bit. I think that it being 'off' by default in this year's game speaks volumes about it's overall use.

They had a rep on Gamespot the other day and the host asked about the passing cone. The EA dude was lost. He was like......wtf? Then he remembered what the host was asking about....lol.

That's the problem.. it was used by players who wanted a bit more of a sim feel, and not the casual joystick jockey that frequents the Madden challenge...
