Can someone explain the different icons for franchise roles and what they do, how they affect the team and such. Not quite sure what they do.

there are a bunch of them. Instead of listing them here and the icons of each. Just go to each player that has a different one and press the button for player information. When you do that it should pop up a screen showing them and their morale bar. Then scroll down on the menu and select roles. That will show what roles that player has and what it means/does.
