Didnt EA said something about this being the year they would really start using that ESPN license they just "absolutey HAD to own"? Outside of a ticker thats probably wired to ESPN with scores scrolling at the bottom I see NOTHING ESPN related whatsoever in the presenation or anything. Even the ticker has a big phat EA logo next to it. So WTF? Overall I like this years Madden...but I have a feeling we wont be seeing any real ESPN intergration (im sorry but NFL Films music and ESPN HOF interviews and stuff that you view outside of your actual game isnt going to cut it) until Madden is on its last year before the Next NEXT gen systems come out.

Im not griping..im just seriously wondering if people are seeing something Im not. I havent started a franchise yet, just SS mode.

To add to my post.. like I said, Im not griping..im seriously asking if someone else knows something I dont know of if they have heard EA comment on whats in store for future versions of madden with the ESPN license?

It would be really cool if they did the ESPN radio think like in NCAA Baseball. That was a really cool feature.

as much as I complain about the crappiness of ESPN (their daytime lineup, their worthless analysts, etc . . .) any time a game has utilized the license, it's always improved the atmosphere and fun of the presentation.

I sure wish they's be good on their word and start using it, too.

Live 08 will the first to have full ESPN integration. I think this year's Madden integration was delayed because of the change in the football TV contract. ESPN didnt have their broadcaster's set and what they were going to do with their Monday night presenatation. EA has a short window to start implemenation of ESPN. You should see it next year.

ESPN will have nothing to do with presentation in these games. What it will offer is the ability to watch quick SC updates and up to date scores. I think a lot of people are going to be let down if they are expecting an ESPN type theme in EA's sports games.
