I think almost everyone has to miss this feature in some way, shape, or form.

Is there way to edit a players position (even during franchise)?

That is also what I heard. Hopefully the next gen model is a little different.

I doubt it would help, but if EA gets barraged with emails demanding a patch that allows player editing, is there any chance they would?

Wow. I haven't been keeping up with Madden news, so I didn't even know about this. I was planning to buy it this weekend, but now I think I'll pass and just stick with NCAA.

Probably not, unless you could word the email to convince them that not having it would cause a loss of sales.

Wow. Not only am I not buying Madden now, I'm trading NCAA in as soon as possible. The only reason I buy both every year is so I can run a dynasty and import draft classes. Heck, I even used to go through every team at the start of each season and make sure all the rookies' numbers matched their positions.

It is simply unconscionable not to give gamers the option to edit players. This is 2006!
