Re: Is Madden 07 (360) really this bad?

I've noticed a delay while playing many times. It can really kill the experience. Last night I got sacked several times simply because my QB wouldnt react to the button being pressed. I've played Madden since the first release on the Sega Genesis and there is a HUGE difference.

I still enjoy the game but they need to tighten uip the response time considerably.

And yes, the game stutters terribly during the stadium scans and bringing up the paly call menu.

Come on EA.

I noticed delay on gameplay and menus while playing at home then I played at best buy and it was smooth as can be. I figured out that it must be the wireless controller I'm using. The wired ones at best buy worked great.

The PC version is awesome Primetime. I have both and defintely enjoy different aspects of each. Gameplay wise, the PC versions shines, no doubt!!!

We need to hookup for a game of PC online, if you want.

Each game is solid on their own.

Each game is missing a little thing here or there.

Yes, I've been saying this about NCAA as well as Madden. I'm not sure if it's just the engine or what, but the control does not feel as responsive as the current gen versions at times. This is my biggest beef with EA's next gen games so far. Maybe this is one area they will improve in next year since so many people have complained about it.

Are you kidding me? Play me online and I'll show you that Madden plays just like Blitz....... This game is far from realistic.

2nd off, I enjoy EA's attempt at college football...those college football games are great and i have and do play NCAA 07 all the time for current gen xbox.

some irritating things i found about this game:

1. Choppiness - WTF? why is this game so choppy? does this have to do with my friends 60" tv? When a play is over and they start scanning the stadium, the scenes are so choppy and irregular it just seems 'crappy'.

2. Gameplay? Give me a break...HORRID. WOW, you literally cannot do anything. You cant play safety and attempt to swat or intercept a pass because the controlls are so delayed. You make any attempt at a ball in the air you'll miss 90% of the time and then its a free TD for the opposing team. There is much more - Herky jerky movements, horrible clipping issues, same animations over and over (esp. when QB is walking to the line of scrimmage).

3. Online - wow, so delayed and unplayable..i was able to go for it on 4th and 15..i was able to launch Hail Marrys and score TD's 5 times...no offense but it was a joke.

Without going into too much detail i just found this game to be overall dissapointing and literally unplayable. I have no desire to go back to my friends and to challenge him to a Madden battle nor do i have the desire to pick up a 360 anymore. Can all of the above be attributed to poor performance due to the 62" TV my friend has or is this game just 'that bad'?? If this is true then all i can say is wow, look at the crap that is sold to consumers when there is no competition - i really hope something happens (i.e. other companies start making generic football games) because the next gen madden football is just extremely sad and a joke of a game.

Dude your not the only one.. I totally agree with u this game is a joke! It got so boring so quick, it's like playing Madden 2006 on the Xbox 360. Nothing new but some extra animations. The main problem with this game is that you still feel like you don't have much control of the players period.. Try using a DE and rushing the QB, or a LB and going for a blitz through the oline gaps? It's horrible!! They improve the running game a bit, but it still feel like you can't do very much unless you use the highlight stick.. The animations are seriously repitious as hell! The players models look all whack, like a bunch of huge gorilla's running around! It is badly done for a Next Gen footabll game has down.. I don't care what the fanboys say, this game is an embarassment to Next Gen Football gaming, period.. EA and their Madden game is a joke.. but at least they got your money? right? and thats all that matters to them...
