I guess the 360 couldnt handle the detail in Madden 06...

remember all the framerate problems and screen tearing that was so apparent in madden 06? those are gone now right?...

07 runs at a pretty steady 30 frames except for some instances of slowdown, and the screen tearing is competely gone.

and the game is even more detailed!! not really.

the player models may be better proportioned this time around, and the grass may look different, but remember when you would zoom in on the names and numbers on the players jerseys last year? you could actually see the stitching around the numbers and letters. how about the textures on the pants in 06? thats gone too. Im sure their goal is to get this game to run at a rock solid fps, and they arent quite there yet..so whats next to go?

im not saying you need that super deatiled stuff, especially when you only see it in replays, but i just thought it was interesting that the character detail actually got downgraded. i thought the games were supposed to get prettier as years go on in a consoles life.

so was the true power of the 360 seen in those first EA launch games? (NFS, FNR3, NBA live, & Madden)

They may have lost some detail on the player models, but look at the grass, weather effects, and the stadiums...much improved.

I think saying that EA cut back graphics to improve framerate is an assumption at best, and I do not think it is even accurate.

It could be that the engine they are using for the 360 version of Madden isn't optimized yet for the system.

The only thing I'm wondering about 360 madden is why the stadiums look blurry from a distance?
