Well for starters EVERYTHING that was in last gen tech should be present in next gen games.

I would think the decision of what is next gen is made by EA, not the consumers. The consumers are still buying Madden. Well, the consumers do dictate what is put into Madden, they are the ones buying the games.

I agree to a degree. I am pretty sure this isn't a ground up engine like they claimed. Hell even the sliders are the same, and some of the exact same issues from current gen are there.

But most of us are wise to the marketing talk and what these guys say on the E3 floor. If they don't do much better next year I'm fine with keeping 2K7 as long as it's got fatigue. But who knows when that will be.

BINGO.

Put that in as a minimum and clean some things up--fix IR, allow bigger roster sizes in pre-season, etc. The fact that we have less options is bogus. Did we see a big drop off in the options PS1 had by the time the second iteration of PS2's Madden game came out? Then why is it like that this time?

Re: Disappointment will continue...

I knew that people would be disappointed with Madden in 2005 and 2006 because it is the same old generation engine that was marketed as a new engine. I and a few other people were very skeptical when EA said new engine last year and we knew that it would be same old game play engine with a new coat of paint. I am very surprised so many people bought into the hype.

There's plenty of good 360 games to warrent owning a 360.
The only one to blame is EA when it comes to their mediocre sports games on the 360 right now. The PS3 won't be any better since it's going to be ports. EA's just not really jumped on the Next Gen bandwagon yet. They are CLOSE, but not quite there yet. Sadly.
