Your point is valid only for those who would not ever consider buying a 360 after owning a PS2. However buyers have choice and the 360 has proven to be the only choice so far.

Actually I am finding that I like the PS3 more than my 360. Now granted it is the "newest" toy, but in terms of Madden and NBA 2K7 I find them MUCH more enjoyable on the PS3 than I ever did on my 360. If fact I may sell my 360 now (something I did NOT want to do thinking it would be a lot better than the PS3) and get a receiver with HDMI for my PS3.
