Why, oh why is Madden 07 for next gen have to be inferior to the current gen? At first, I didn't believe the reports. "They took out owner mode? No big deal, I don't play it..." "Franchise is more basic? ... I can live with that I guess..." I thought that the majority of people's bashing on next gen madden was due to the lack of features or the denial to learn the new control scheme. Then I finally played current gen madden 07. What a difference! From player sizes (some players actually being large and small) to the pre snap adjustments, the game just owns. One major thing I did notice was that the speed burst seems more balanced in the current gen version. You only get a short burs of speed and then sometimes you'll get tired and slow down. I haven't noticed it as much on the next gen as you can just run forever at full speed on that game. I think this contributes to the hampered defense in next gen. Ok, I've had my rant, but the question stands, why does the game have to be like this. I know they supposedly "rebuilt" the engine and all, but the game just feels arcadey (could it be the loud thunder sound you hear when you hit the bomb lol?) compared to current gen. I bought the 360 for sports games and after playing current gen Madden, I wish I would've waited...

I feel your pain but this is an old and tired argument, and not really worthy of another thread. Do some searching. I'm sure you'll find plenty of threads that suit your complaints.
