Hey guys,

This just hit me...probably because my team never had to deal with it but...

On Saturday, the Browns traded away their first round pick in 2008 to the Cowboys to get Quinn.

Now...lets say I am playing franchise mode. After the 2007, we go into the off-season. Now, in the game, will Dallas rightfully have two first round picks? Or will they still give me a first round pick out of "default?"

IF ea or anyone for that matter would have the foresight to implement something like that, then i would be truely impressed.
With that being said I doubt it. If anything you would probably just have to trade it away in your franchise to dallas for a scrub or something then release the scrub. Of course this is merely my opinion. We shall see.

I'm going to say that I'm very impressed with direction that Madden seemingly is taken ... that being said. Two years worth of draft picks haven't been in the game for years now. What happened on Saturday happens every year in the NFL on some level - last year it was Seattle giving up its first rounder this year to New England, the year before the Chargers had the Giants pick if I remember right. teh Pats actually dealt the pick they got from Buffalo to the Ravens for a 1st rounder the following year which turned into Vince Wilfork. Its not make or break but its something that doesn't get put in the game that'd be nice to have. There are plenty of times when I'm drafting in Madden where there isn't a player I want or need and I already have the max of ten picks. I'd like to be able to move it to the year after but its not going to happen.

Nope, the Browns will still have their 1st round pick and San Francisco will also have their 1st round pick.

Yea this would a pretty cool feature but its a little far fetched for EA. Heck you can't even trade future picks can you? Anyway this is a good idea but hopefully it'd be an option to use or not.

You're right. You can only trade draft picks of current year's draft.
