That's a good point. The gang tackles, sideline catches are there. Next week, Ian will talk about blocking. These things aren't just vague hype. They exist.

Funny thing is there was never a war... APF even it included every feature in the world and had the NFL PA agreement they would still lose cause Madden sells cause its Madden. Yes Madden looks good this year which will influence my purchase but for most people they were buying the game no matter what.

I'm looking forward to the blocking piece the most. I felt like that was a huge issue within the game......it will also tell us if Mario Running---after 15 years, is dead.

I agree. For me this is much bigger than sideline catches and even gang tackling. Besides the double teaming aspect, I really want to see how improved the blocking logic/recognition is.

I hope the CPU controlled blockers can finally adjust to the human player who just blitzes an extra linebacker or safety every play,regardless of their assignment, and make players pay for lacking discipline and ignoring their defensive responsibilities.

The highlight (at least to me) of pro-wrestling was mid-to-late 1990's. Some of the best storylines and action came from that era, and the reason why is because there were two companies fighting it out. Competition has a tendency to bring out the best in companies. That's why, even though I'm not gonna buy the game, nor am I impressed with it, I'm very thankful that APF is there, and I also hope it's an excellent game. It can only mean BOTH brands will try and outdo each other.

Yes, Madden will sell based on name alone, but it doesn't matter. It's not a coincidence that Madden is improving the gameplay, because that's what 2k football games are best known for.

Agreed but not a single video i have seen has shown any mario running at all. So thats good news
