FG's in Madden

I haven't bought Madden for a few years, have gone with NCAA instead.

Does the AI ever miss FG's wide right or left in the game? Also is it ridiculously easy to make FG's in the game? Thanks for the replies.

In Madden 07 (360) the most common cause of missed FGs (no apostrophe needed) is distance; they fall short. This is true of both human and AI missed FGs. Very rarely, I'll miss one left or right but barely. The most common error is not missing left or right, but not timing the meter right and getting a short kick.

EA should come up with a new kicking system that will challenge you to miss right or left rather than be just short sometimes. coaches usually know the range of their kickers so it would make better sense this way.

Re: FG's in Madden

I've wished this for years. They really need a new system. Go back to the meter system but with different components.
1: Snap: The variable would be accuracy of the snap. Then the long snap ratings really come into play. The more off the more time it takes to get the ball down and would also be reflective of the holding ratings.

Kick: Power and accuracy meter like the old system.

So if the snap is off the D just got an extra 1/2 to 1 full step lead on getting in to block it.

Avertical meter NOT circle.
Hitting A starts the meter UP for the snap.... hit the A again at the top in the accuracy bar...Once that is hit the ball is snapped meter is "reset" and the meter goes back up for power and down to the accuracy range.
It would be quick and frantic but kicking should be.
This might not be perfect but something like this would be nice.
