Ya know, I'm getting a little fed up with the circus act EA Sports causes every year with these constant, vague controversies. I'm more inclined to believe the 1up article until further notice, and just stay content with the fact that the PS3 version will more than likely be 30 fps. These constant rumors to the contrary every year really need to stop. Why must every year go by with EA Sports being involved in some controversial issue?

Well if you read sdrotar's blog, he has received 60fps confirmation from an EA rep while inquiring about NCAA rosters.

Can we even be sure that that person truly is who he says he is? It would be so much easier if we could stop reading about editors who "heard" from EA about these statements, and instead actually hear it from EA themselves.

Well we did hear from EA themselves. There was a press release about the PS3 versions being 30 FPS back when the story first came out. They talked about tradeoffs and said that for the PS3 the best experience was at 30 FPS. They also took the opportunity to mention that even 2K's game would be 30 FPS on PS3.

But who knows if they decided to change it at the last minute. Frankly, I don't care. I got both NCAA and APF yesterday, both are 30 FPS and both play pretty smoothly. Would it be better at 60? Yes. Is it a problem like many said it would be? Absolutely not.

I feel the same way. I've never cared about framerates and will never care about them. The enjoyment I get from playing these football games will not depend on whether the fps is at 30 or 60.
