can we hold the dev's responsible if we don't like it?

Ok the thread title is bad BUT

we've seen these guys "talking it up" saying this and that. why can't we ever tell them that what they did is bad after they said it was all good?

I forget their names but theres a ton of guys on there that have produced this game and if we see a problem in certain areas(graphically,gameplaywise) whouldn't it be right to have THEM hear our complaints and then our distatste about how much the product still hasn't changed?

At the end of the day withholding our 60 dollars is the only trump card we really have, but I do know what you mean. I'm not there, so I don't know how it really is, but I get the feeling that, given that they are there as a courtesy, those community liaisons/leaders kind of have to treat the developers with kid gloves when they are communicating the feelings of the hardcore fans.

Obviously you don't speak or behave in any way that is disrespectful, but I would like to feel that someone could say to developer "The implementation of feature X was done very badly", or "This has been a serious flaw in your game for several years, fixing it would help the game tremendously"

I always wish that one of the lead guys, was my brother or cousin or something, so I could just straight out tell him "Here are the areas where you guys seriously *earmuffs*ed things up."

P.S. I would just like to add that I did not type "earmuffs", that was the filter. I would never put something so ********.

Just curious, but who else would you place the blame on if you didn't like Madden 08?

I think he's talking about being able to express our collective disappointment to the development team personally. We know things filter back of course, but I think he's wishing that the team would have more direct interaction with the fan base. It not going to happen, but its o.k. to dream.

I guess one should/could blame themself if they blindly buy it without doing their homework.

Of course problems, glitches, etc. "should" be fixed, but it should be no suprise to anyone when they aren't as it seems to be the trend with most companies these days. Both EA and 2K have problems in their games or missing features in their games that date back several years. Or new problems that are pointed out weeks leading up to the release of their games.
