I'm curious about the 3-4 many tackles. What was titled "4-man Tackle" in the Madden blog turned out to be one defender completely wiffing, the 2nd stepping on a landmine, the 3rd wrapping the ball carrier up, and the 4th cleaning up... essentially a 2-man tackle. You described some 3-man tackles, but are actually 4-man tackles in the game?

I think 07 was just natural progression (not great progressions) but 06 some really bad stuff went down.

Yeah I think it was just one of those things that slipped through the cracks. But I'm sure it won't be there next year.

With options are you referring to?

You can't edit players appearances at all, but everything else you can. One user suggested a work around would be to create a new player and make them how you want, then just get rid of the old player.

True, I used to do that back in the day. The only problem with that is, the player no longer has a face (and that grey solid statue ugly looking thing is horrible, at least last year they had a helmet, or a shadow of a guy, what is up with the grey statue). And then Shockey and Edgerrin James
face will be on no name players rated at 56, just because they can't look at the picture of the player (that is already in the game) and tell that shockey has long hair, and edge has short hair (both for the past couple of seasons). I mean, the picture of the player is right in front of them.

Darn you EA, I figured that was going to be the case. Finally next gen?... I don't know (Int Glitch for the second year in a row, Still no Edit Apperance, Still bomb noise, still radio annoucer, still no CPU vs. CPU, online is taking a hit (I hear), can't switch positions in franchise mode, some mario running is still there (I hear), and LB's still jump 10 ft in the air to INT a ball).

Sorry, I had to rant. Im still excited to play this game tonight, but EA always seems to disapoint me in some way. But Thanks for the Fantasy Draft, Gangtackles, "better" gameplay, create a team and somewhat of an edit player (not a FULL edit player, but somewhat of an edit player).

Good writeup Russell. I can't wait. I also think NBA 2k7 is the best sports game ever. So it seems like we see eye to eye.. If Madden is a close second I'll be really happy. I've always like what EA does as far as gameplay and just pure fun factor. 2k just brings a better package. So it should be fun.

Well thats a two fold question so heres your two fold answer I don't think you will ever be able to edit a players face again. (NFL License) Or his height and weight. I think there might be some red tape involving this but I'm not sure

So making a new player and getting ride of the old player wouldn't be a good ideas since there are some things going on in the code that you can't see. Some players in the game have special animations and if you delete them well you get the picture. V.Young for instance has his own running style if you delete himm well guess what you just deleted his running style as well etc.........

I call BS as this being a license problem but that's another story. However, we should be able to edit his number and accessories etc.. Can you at least do that?
