I see what your saying. We do have a choice, but I think what he is getting at, is we have no option. You want to play a football game with NFL players... there is only one game you can get. Well, yes thats a choice you can make or not make, you definitely have no options. If you want to play a football game, because you enjoy football, you are forced... because there is no other option... to buy Madden. And forced to deal with these glitches EA has in their game every year.

What I meant was no one has a choice in an NFL game. Fact is the NFL is the most popular sport in America and Americans want their football. With that video games are becoming increasingly more popular and sports games are some of the more popular games out there. So when EA buys the rights so only they can make NFL licensed games after people have already become so use to playing video game football. People sort of become forced as to which game will help feed that virtual pigskin hunger.

But it's like that everywhere. If you go to watch your favorite team at a sports arena, most likely they have a contract with Coke. But you hate Coke and only like Pepsi. No one forces you to buy Coke. But you buy it anyway because you want cola. You can buy a different drink...

this reminds me of my senior project in Comp Sci. We had so much stuff added to a software program we created that when we would add simple things at the end it would effect something else. My professor called it lazy programming because we didnt document everything. But we were in college this is a billion dollar game company..lol
