The roster update fixed the fumbles.

Rosters do not fix gameplay.....patches do, and there hasnt been one released yet. The fumbles are hit and miss. Just because you have a game or two without them, doesnt mean they are gone. Just wait.

actually a global edit to rosters could most certainly fix certain gameplay issues.

I keep getting sucked in by this games graphics (360 version) and this is not an exaggeration, I started three games with my very first play resulting in a fumble/turn over. The first f-ing play. I turn the game off because this "bug" has gotten in my head...I start thinking about the gorgeous graphics and I fire it up...boom first play fumble. THREE IN A ROW!!! Then I turn on the PS2 version and I'm happily playing again.

It would really piss me off if EA sent a "hidden" patch via roster update. I am in my 2nd yr of franchise, and am not going to start over because a supposed patch is hidden in a roster update. I'm with everyone who says that the roster update did not patch the fumbles too because I have used that roster when on-line and fumbled plenty.

well i dont have fumble issues anymore... off line or with my friends... dont play much on line

but i dont know why this is such a huge deal

enough people have not had fumble issues to warrant it something that happens when members try and get cute or dont protect the rock

i have a lot more games wheren there is no fumbles then when there are

Yeah that would be awful if EA issued a patch to help make the game better and you had to start your Franchise over. I'll be a lot of other folks are also glad they don't release an update for the same reason. / sarcasm off.....
