The "I have a problem with Madden 08" Thread

What pisses me off is you can tell they've done a lot to improve the game... yet so much of the joy that is watching NFL Football get left out of the game.

The game is lifeless. That can mean many different things yet if I were to go ahead and try and list them all I'd piss myself off all over again.

It's so frustrating that THIS is the only representation of NFL football.

Agree one hundred percemt This hits the nail right on the head for me. Its so true when you look at the plays and its essentially the same plays for the past 8 years.

I agree with the guy in this weeks Barrons who thinks EA has a lot of tired franchises and Madden is certainly among them. It is almost the same game it was in 2000 and to think they tried to tell consumers it was a new engine two years ago is just awful.

for those curious what you'll get for Madden, I just got $15 toward a trade in at gamestop for it. If it's cash it's 20% less, whatever that number is.

I JUST traded in Madden 08 for the 360 and got $30 store credit. WTF? That was on Friday.

Has anyone watched the vid on XBL? It's about 22 minutes long and pretty interesting...

I find it hilarious that developers themselves are discussing money plays... Maybe not to the extent some older gamers see it, but you CAN TELL they know what it meant.

I'm not sure if I'm happy they know things like this exist. In the last game one of the developers admitted that even he doesn't understand how the kid he was playing was getting a play to work.

If I was a developer I'd be pissed if I found a play that someone couldn't counter.
