Whatever happened to Accelerated Clock in Madden games?

I haven't seen it mentioned here, but what happened to the accelerated clock feature? Was it just not used at all? I found this feature to be great for playing a semi-realistic number of quarters and allowing for more realistic clock management at the end of games. It also really helped teams that used ball control offenses.

Did no one use this besides me?

I used it for the ps2 versions of the game and I really didn't see why they took that out and cpu vs cpu for the next gen consoles.

I'm really waiting for the ACC clock or 09. No idea why it's not in now. It was so much cooler to play 13 minute quarters with drives that actually took 5 minutes or more sometimes.

Personally I'd like to be able to set the ACC clock my self so that I could make the players always come out of the huddle with 15 seconds left. This way I could get the real 120-130 plays per game playing 15 minute quarters.
