I'm having a hard time getting in the air to get the ball. I'll lob the ball down field, take control of the receiver, but all I can get him to do is throw his hands up, he doesn't actually leave the ground at all. I was reading about doing a strafe catch, holding the LT down then hitting Y but I would assume you have to be set at the catch point first, you can't do that in stride or anything, right?

There is no jumping on lob passes this year. Only bullet passes.

Its possible, I'm actually able to do it all the time now. You have to be a little bit behind the ball or catching the ball from the side. If you tap the left trigger and push the y button right before the ball gets to the spot you will either lunge toward the ball or jump and grab it out the air.
