I can't believe you think they would actually look out for you, or let alone give you answer that your looking for. They know the game sucks, but their not going to admit it to you. Don't waste your time w/ EA. Go pick up NBA 2K8 and play a great sports game.

Honestly, I don't understand the "Go play NBA 2k8" statement. I have the game, and like it a lot, but if I want to play football, there is no way NBA 2k8 cuts it. They are like apples and oranges.

Re: My experience with EA

I've posted this several times all over the interweb, I only hope someday the people who support Ea Sports by buying their inferior products will man up and do what is needed.

I would love nothing more then to go to the local game stop next August and buy a copy of Madden 09, but I won't. why won't I? Because for the past 4 years I've been sucked in by all the hype and promises that "the game will be better this year" , but it never is. Madden 08 is worse the Madden 07 as far a playability goes. EA has no real competition when it comes to NFL Football. They are it, if you want to play with the NFL Teams Madden is the only choice. EA knows this and they don't give a crap about putting out a quality game. After all we all keep blindly giving them our money every year , they sell millions of copies , there is nothing to force them to do a better job and make a better game.

I've read a lot of posts on several message boards and it seems to me that quite a few Madden players are fed up with the product they are getting each year. So I'll say it one more time:
Don't buy Madden 09 next year. The only way Ea will get the message is with $$$$. If Madden sells 2 million copies every year and then next year if 09 only sells 500,000 then your voice will be heard. How hard is it to go without a game for one year. 2K fans went 3 years without a new product. If you want a good game from EA, you have to let them know, and the best way to do that is by not blindly supporting them year after year.

The problem is, even if 50% of the people (which is being very generous) who actually agree with you regarding 08's quality and the dismal state of the series didn't buy 09 out of protest, it would only be a small dint in the sales, probably offset by the amount of new comers to the series anyway.

Fact is, most people who buy it either like it, or don't take NFL gaming seriously enough to mind glitches and design decisions that take away from the realism. Madden is just too big now.

I just mean that Madden is not going to be anything you want it to be. Bottom line is that there is not a football game on next gen that meets expectations. So why waste your time? Pick up another game, and have fun w/ it. That's all. EA is not going to change anything...And why would they, they are making millions selling us crap.

Re: My experience with EA

If you find certain aspects of the game annoying and frustrating, then that's fine......but to call the game "crap" is just ridiculous. Madden, NCAA, and APF all have their share of prgramming issues but I can find enough positive things about all of them to argue a case for why they're worthwhile at the same time (as any rational person should).

Amen. Its common for any software to have bugs, and all we can hope is for a patch to fix these bugs. But to expect a refund from the developers is ridiculous. Despite what some will have you believe, Madden IS improving(while far from perfect) and EA isn't maliciously trying to screw its customers.
