What do the shaded weapons bars mean?

Can anyone here on the board explain for me, what the shaded bars mean when viewing the weapons, a particular player can use? I wanted to pick up Al Wilson for my franchise and I noticed that he had a smart lb icon which was shaded grey, a brickwall icon, shaded grey and a big hitter icon thats was shaded yellow can anyone tell me what that means?

shaded gray means the player has to progress more to be that weapon.
yellow means that the player is already that weapon.

yes a weapon can have no bars and the weapon symbol can be shaded yellow (meaning the player has the miniump rating for that weapon to get it) and the player will still have the weapon. its just the longer the yellow bar on the weapon means the stronger the weapon

*note all rating to get weapons have a different rating to obtain to get that rating like for instance to get speed weapon a player must have at least 96 Spd (QB's-85 Spd),Accurate Qb Weapon-94 ACC Cannon Arm QB weapon-95 and so for..
