If you look at all of the sports games on the market the good ones are the ones that have competing developers. Look at EA's games: The only good ones are the games where there is competition from other developers. Just look at NHL.... NHL 08 was sports game of the year on some sites, and up for game of the year! The reason for this is because 2K always made a decent hockey game. Baseball: The 2K series is becoming good again, and the Show is a great game, all because of competition!

Now look at the exclusive licensed games from EA: Madden, seems like the same game every year, no real major improvements.

Nascar 08: Was not given great reviews

Tiger Woods 08: Feels like the same game every year.

What I am trying to say is that there needs to be competition in sports games. It is great for the consumer.

There are other football games you can play, just not NFL ones. Write a letter to the NFL is your best bet if you're unhappy with Madden.
