You will have to find out if the 80GB PS3 can play PS2 games. My launch PS3 plays PS2 games, but now the newer ones have to use software emulation. So, I don't know for sure. Sorry.

It will work. I play the PS2 version of Madden on my PS3 (80GB).

The 20 and 80GB PS3 are backward compatable with most all PS2 games. The 40GB, as a cost saving measure, has significantly less compatability.

Ok, I pick up madden last night. I am not able to go online and get the updated rosters. I keep getting an error message. How did you guys get up dated rosters?
