at this point in the life-cycle of madden the gameplay and presentation should be top notch .

I won't buy it either. I think I'll wait at least another year. NCAA is my preference anyway and that had enough issues last year to keep me frustrated.

I've been Madden pretty much every year since I've had video games. Madden 2000 was how I learnd2football.

I will not be buying Madden this year. I will only buy it if after two months, I'm hearing good things from this board.

My biggest issue with the game is the crappy announcer and that's been fixed. So i'm going to be buying the game on day one. Also Madden has been somewhat boring and dry over the last few years so I harbor hope that the game has a little more pep with new announcer(s) this year.

I heard enough to know that I'm not going to get it--just too concerned about spending $60 on another beta.

NFL 2K5 with updated rosters and schedule(s) will give me my gameplay fix, while I may purchase EA's Head-Coach (by itself) off ebay. That particular title looks interesting.
