Who thinks signature styles would enhance madden gameplay

Well if it's supposed to be a nfl football simulator don't you think that the star players should actually play in the style that makes them who they are, instead of being generic because they are just based on skills ratings.

Lets take 2 star players from the NFL, Manning and Favre.

In madden they play almost identical to each other because their player ratings are very similar.

Nothing differentiates Manning and Favre's playing styles, because who they are and how they play is just based on skills ratings.

In real life their playing styles are different in madden they are basically identical besides a couple skills ratings that have little influence on their playing styles.

Signature styles would be sweet, but we're nearing the fourth edition of next gen Madden and it still has one camera angle,if they can't add something as simple as multiple camera angles the chances of seeing signature anytime soon has to be remote.I do like the idea though.

They would be great but as they said i rather they be honest and fix the major problems then work on adding lil extras later.
You wouldnt want a signature juke move but the player get stuck in that animation because code wasnt implemented right.
So I would love it and it would be great but would like to see all else improved before they jump to deep into the ocean.

Geez I really think signature styles would enhance the game that more...it would definitely help the QB animations right now because the mechanics are way off. Also, differentiate the speedy QBs, RBs from the slower power backs and pocket passers. I definitely see a pocket presence is needed in the game. Peyton should nt have to leave the pocket that early. The Colts have better protection whereas a weaker blocking team needs a faster QB to scramble.


However, a camera editor, more stadium immersion and better player interaction is needed first.

Even when the stars come in things dont always turn out right. Take MLB the show, they had Ryan Howard come in for mo-cap and guess what Ryans Howard swing was terrible. How is that possible? BUt I guess it shows that its tough to do I guess.

And even Nba2k series theres a thread about changing just about everyone's shot to another's shot to get it to look right so its never on point.

I think the most glaring need is MORE ANIMATIONS for everything. I think that they have the things in place now where now they just need to triple the amount of animations to show us more of its greatness. The OL/DL has to be reworked and a new person to do ther QB mo-cap would be nice.

I think that is right MORE ANIMATIONS are needed and then get Favre, Manning, Brady, ELI and a side armer and mo-cap and apply to the QB style.

Yea, I think more generic animations would sell the personality of the players if true signature styles are not an option. I think we are getting closer to the day when I play Madden and the players feel and play different enough that I have to adjust my style of play to counteract.
