Madden 09 - Historic teams?

Will Madden 09 have historic teams that we can edit for real names, info?

Also, if so, can these teams be used in a season mode if we wish?

I doubt it.

Plus the entire idea of having to edit the historic teams is lame anyway. If they are going to have historic teams, they need to be accurate from the beginning. Look how bad they were on the older versions. No names, incorrect numbers, you're guessing on a lot of players real identities. What's the point?

Legally they can't. They have to get permission from each retired player since they are no longer members of the player's union.

If they include them, 3rd party editors can create the teams with real names, equipment, etc. Just as always for any game (NFL2K5, previous Madden versions, MVP05, NBA2Kx, etc...)
