Phil just let the cat out of the bag over at MaddenMania, so I thought I'd spread the word here.

An engineer and myself started investigating our first "feature" to patch, and the winner is....

....drum roll....

Accelerated Clock!

(I can just picture mdgoalie37 falling out of his chair right now)

*DISCLAIMER* This in no way means we will get to this feature...there's a lot of stuff we have to figure out, and the patch process takes like 6 weeks to get done anyway, but we wanted everyone to know we are at least trying. This feature seemed to be the least risky (and the most wanted) while still allowing us to test feature additions (new addition to a screen, new in-game functionality).

I hope to have a more in-depth update next week on how feasible it's going to end up being.

Great news...

Ian, I think I speak for a lot of people when I say that I appreciate your efforts and responsiveness to the gaming community.

I don't remember anyone from the Madden camp ever being this attentive or accessible, and it's greatly appreciated.

Traditionally, the Madden accelerated clock has ended in the last two minutes... might I request the option (as I know from mentioning it before, some people don't like the idea) to let it run to the end of the game? Maybe change from running to 20 seconds to 25 in the last two minutes to reflect the team's sense of urgency?

If not, cool, thought I'd ask. I personally just don't like the fact that it's faster to enter the huddle and call the play than it is to line up in the hurry up.
