Block Shedding on the Right Stick.....

Saw it suggested in the NCAA 09 forums and thought it would be great for Madden. I think it would be amazing. Maybe in 2010?

I think it would be great. While engaged on a blocker there is no need for hit-stick. But to be on the safe side where you can't shed a blocker then accidentally hit-stick they could make it where you have to hold LT in order to use the right stick for block avoidance.

Or you could use the LB, since LT is strafe.

I like those ideas... I think it would work well.

In addition they could use down on the RS to bring back the bull rush/shove from last gen. that is sorely missed on next gen. Up could disengage, as we have been wanting a way to do that for years.

The bull rush has to come back, for sure. That's what makes so m any pass rushers dangerous. As for disengaging, maybe you could just push the left stick in the opposite direction of the defender, since OL/DL suction should be fixed by next year. Up on the right stick could be used to jump to try and deflect the pass. 45 degrees up, then rotating down would be a swim move, 45 degrees down, then rotating to 45 degrees up would be a rip. Pushing the left stick around the blocker would be a speed rush, etc.
